Our Story
Since 1983, Hospice Care Team (HCT) has been delivering Hope, Help, and Comfort. Our hospice today remains true to its original mission. Our goal is to maintain the highest possible level of independence within familiar surroundings, supported by family and friends. Hospice Care Team provides the help of a highly-skilled, professional team of physicians, nurses, social workers, hospice aides, chaplains, and volunteers. The comfort of hospice care provides pain relief and symptom control to the patients as well as encouragement and continued support to the family through active bereavement counseling. This consistent high quality of care has made HCT a pillar of the community in Galveston and the surrounding counties.
In 2017, HCT increased its footprint by acquiring Heart of Texas Hospice (HOTH) in Beaumont, Texas, which is now known as Hospice Care Team Beaumont. We care for patients who range in age from newborn to greater than 100 years of age, making every day matter because every life matters.
