Hospice Care Team volunteers are required to attend a free 30-hour training program. During the training, the volunteer will learn the basic theory and practice of hospice. They will become acquainted with the roles of the hospice team and discuss concepts of loss, grief and bereavement. The role of the volunteer is discussed and explained so that each individual can make their own decision about what kind of volunteer work they would like to provide. Volunteer services are flexible and you decide on the hours that you are willing to give.
