Our Pediatric Palliative Care Program is never about giving up it is about getting more help! Every life is precious and it is our duty to
make sure every patient is as pain free as possible and living at the highest level of quality of life possible every single day we are
involved.

Our Team

Our staff of compassionate and experienced pediatric specialists includes clinicians and other healthcare providers with expertise in palliative care, symptom management, complementary medicine, and interfaith spiritual care.

Our clinicians are focused on family centered care. From your first visit, you'll work with a team of professionals who are committed to supporting your family's physical and emotional needs.

We include experts from a wide variety of disciplines to care for your child. Our care team includes:
  • Pediatricians with advanced training in palliative care
  • A nurse practitioner with extensive experience providing pediatric palliative care
  • Pediatric nurses with extensive experience and training providing pediatric palliative care
  • A social worker with expertise in emotional support and community resources
  • Dedicated spiritual care services
  • Other pediatric specialists as needed

We consider you and your child to be integral parts of the care team and not simply recipients of care. We work closely with you to customize a plan of care for your child.

Who do we treat..........................

Pediatric palliative care is most often delivered to children who need help managing condition related symptoms that impose
limitations on their life. This includes children who are facing any life-threatening medical conditions. Our Sea Turtle Team is
especially equipped to care for patients with:
  • Cancer
  • Congenital anomalies
  • Cystic fibrosis
  • Anoxia
  • Heart or Pulmonary condition
  • Muscular dystrophy
  • Neurological disorders
  • Disorders of prematurity genetic or metabolic conditions
  • Post traumatic head injuries
  • Renal disorder
  • Clinical support while awaiting organ transplant
  • And many other disease processes

Pediatric Palliative Care

The Sea Turtle Palliative Care Program is made up of highly trained interdisciplinary team of Registered Nurses who specialize not just in hospice but also pediatrics.

Our Licensed Counselors, MSW’s and Chaplains also have had extensive training in this specialty.

Our specialist keep the lines of communication open between the families healthcare providers so that the family has the information and education they need to make decisions.

Pediatric palliative care refers to treatments intended to optimize the quality of life and promote healing and comfort for children with life-limiting illnesses. Some of the support we provide includes:
